systems and wildlife for them to be successful - but you can make some simple choices
which can improve your garden almost beyond belief - have a look at some of the do's and
don'ts below - you could give them a try ! - No garden is too small ! |

- Encourage insect life by planting suitable plants

- Use pesticides or herbicides
|
- Make birds welcome with food, water, cover and nest sites
|

- Keep feeders and waters clean
|
- Use slug pellets - slugs are part of the food chain

- Put up suitable nestboxes
|
|
- Leave dead leaves at the back of a border for black birds and thrushes to turnover
|
|
- Always check bonfires for animals before lighting
|
|
- Check fruit cages and netting for small birds that may be trapped
|
|
- Make a pond and bog garden but be sure that there is an easy way out for animals that
might fall in.
